My heat pump has stopped heating. Can you fix it?

Usually, yes, and often the same day. Common faults are a tripped supply, a frozen or blocked outdoor unit, a sensor, a circulation pump or a controls setting. We diagnose first and give you a fixed price before any work.

Can you service a heat pump another company installed?

Yes. Any make of air source heat pump. If your installer has stopped answering, we’ll pick up the annual service and keep the warranty paperwork in order.

Are you MCS certified for heat pump installation?

Yes. Our heat pump installations are MCS certified, which is what the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant requires, so a new air source heat pump from us qualifies for the grant.

Is a heat pump right for my house?

It depends on insulation, radiator sizes and space for the outdoor unit. Well insulated homes with larger radiators or underfloor heating suit them best. We’ll tell you plainly if a new gas boiler is the better choice for now. See replacing your boiler with a heat pump.

How much does a heat pump engineer cost?

No hourly rate. A fixed diagnosis fee for a repair, a fixed price for an annual service from £299, and a written fixed price for an installation after a survey.

Do you also work on gas boilers?

Yes. Sharif is a Gas Safe registered gas engineer as well as a heat pump engineer, so hybrid systems, a boiler kept as backup, or a switch in either direction are all one engineer.
