What the Customer in Park Hall Needed

A homeowner in Park Hall, Walsall, got in touch wanting a full kitchen installation. The kitchen they had was tired and no longer worked for them. They wanted everything replaced and they had a clear idea of how they wanted the finished space to look. My job was to take that vision and make it happen properly.

The brief included new appliances, a gas hob, floor and wall tiling, brass fixtures, an oak feature floor, and marble effect finishes throughout. That is a full kitchen fit from top to bottom, and it is the kind of job I enjoy because every part of it matters.

How the Installation Came Together

I started by stripping out the old kitchen completely. Once you have a blank space you can plan everything properly. There are no surprises later on when you take that approach from the start.

The gas hob installation was handled as part of the fit. As a Gas Safe registered engineer I carry out all gas work myself. Gas Safe registration means I am on the official register of engineers who are legally allowed to work on gas appliances in the home. That matters. You should never let anyone touch a gas hob or any other gas appliance unless they can show you their Gas Safe ID card.

Once the gas work was in place I moved on to the tiling. The wall tiles were laid to complement the marble effect finish running through the rest of the kitchen. The oak feature floor was fitted after the tiling was complete, which is the right order to do it in so everything sits properly and looks clean at the edges.

The brass fixtures were fitted last. Small details like that pull a kitchen together. They were chosen by the customer and they worked really well against the marble effect surfaces and the warmth of the oak floor.

New appliances were installed and connected throughout. Everything was tested before I left the site.
